Biography

Keith is a consultant, writer and speaker with extensive experience in the media and technology industries. A pioneer in deploying innovative technologies, Keith was involved in many early online media projects including the newspaper industry?s first wide area network for production and its first intranet. He was deeply engaged in commercial radio's foray into Internet streaming. More recently, he has managed projects deploying wiki and social networking technologies. Keith was active in corporate venture investing at the dawn of the commercial Internet and later was president of a business incubator.  His book, a compilation of expert interviews entitled, "Raising Capital When You Don't Have a Silicon Valley Address," was released in October 2007 by Innovations Publishing, LLC.
 
Career
Prior to launching his consulting firm, Internet Decisions, LLC, he was an executive with several companies including Vice President of Planning and Product Development at Cox Interactive Media, Vice President of Operations (also at Cox), President of a business incubator, Vice President and General Manager of One Source Pro and Director of Operations at Cox Radio Interactive. In his early career, Keith covered media and technology as a business reporter and editor at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which established his skills as a writer and communicator. He also served as the newspaper's Administrative Editor for six years and had oversight of publishing technology projects.
 
Affiliations and Experience
Keith is active in several professional associations and is a Certified Seminar Leader as designated by the American Seminar Leaders Association. His speaking experience includes: the Association of Internet Researchers International Conference, IFRA Media Technology Forum, Georgia State University's Business School "Eagles" Conference, Atlanta Technology in Entertainment Forum, Atlanta Venture Capital Conference, Cox Institute for Newspaper Management Studies, University of Georgia New Media Institute, Georgia Scholastic Press Association Annual Meeting, Georgia Associated Press Annual Meeting, Cox Broadcasting Engineering and Technical Conference, New York Times-sponsored Newspaper Administration Conference. He has also presented at several internal meetings at companies such as Bank One, Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems and CA.
 
Education
Keith holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and was awarded a Pulliam Fellowship upon graduation. He earned a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he was an Alumni Scholarship winner. He also completed a Davenport Fellowship at the University of Missouri. Keith is currently completing his Ph.D. in media and information with the Curtin University of Technology based in Perth, Australia through a unique external research program.
